Getting there!
Hi Sandra here!
We’ve had a very busy month here at the practice with renovations and events so it’s been a while since I posted(Sorry!). So I said I best keep everyone up to date on my progress! I have been getting on great with my treatment and i’m well into the next phase. Shona has put attachments on to my teeth so now the real work has begun!
Attachments are small pieces of filling material that are placed on the teeth to fit into the specially moulded bubbles in the Invisalign aligners. After the first couple of weeks you need to have these put on to your teeth to further aid the movement. They use pressure to help to create space and push the teeth into the desired position. I was convinced they would be visible through the aligners but nobody has noticed them!
We were at the Ultimate Girls Day Out showing lots of ladies invisalign, so I was a model for a day or should I say my teeth were! Everyone was astounded at how invisible they actually are, which was a real confidence boost for me after just having had the attachments placed.
We are getting geared up now for the big Invisalign Open Day on the 20th, a great lady from Invisalign is going to be here to talk everyone through the treatment. She was the one who taught me everything I know so all attendees will be leaving fully educated! It’ll be another day for me to flash a smile and show off invisalign, so I better get ready for my close up! Here’s a snap of me modelling for the glamourous ladies at the Ultimate Girls Day Out!
