Sometimes elastics need to be placed between your teeth for a few days before you start your brace. This will not interfere with cleaning or eating. they will make it more comfortable to place your braces.
Elastics
Elastics are often used to improve the bite and close spaces in orthodontics. They can be worn along one row of teeth or between the rows. Clear instructions and a diagram will be given to you on placement of your elastics. They must be worn 24/7 and changed once daily unless otherwise advised.
