Clontarf Orthodontics is a full time specialist orthodontic practice, in fact Dr. Leydon is the only specialist available for appointments 5 days a week on the north side of Dublin. We are here all day every day to see you and to answer your queries. Should an emergency arise we are here! We provide comprehensive treatment planning aided by the latest technology and use orthodontics not only to create beautiful smiles but also to optimise dental health. Dr Leydon has a particular interest in early treatment to minimise length of treatment and the necessity for extractions. As a practice we are true believers that preventative orthodontics and education are the keys to optimal orthodontic results and dental health. Therefore we focus on thorough exams at your first visit. We check the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer screenings and taking x-rays when necessary, in addition to doing a detailed orthodontic assessment.

Infection control in our office is also very important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves we strictly maintain sterilisation and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the Irish Dental Council and the American Orthodontic Association.

Dr Leydon and staff regularly attend the American orthodontic annual conference and many other local and international conferences. We pride ourselves on providing the care you need to keep your smile at it’s optimum. We give you the best possible service and results and are committed to continual education and learning. We attend dental lectures, meetings and dental conventions to stay informed of the new techniques, the latest products and the newest equipment that a modern orthodontic office can utilise to provide state of the art orthodontic care. Also being a member of various professional dental associations, for instance, the Irish Dental Association, The Orthodontic Society of Ireland, The World Federation of Orthodontics, The American Association of Orthodontics and many more helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our professions. Dr. Leydon and staff attended the American Association of Orthodontics Congress in Chicago, USA in May 2012. Dr. Leydon will be attending a lingual orthodontic congress in London on October.
